For Prevention and Reduction of Back Pain in the Workplace
We provide expert workstation assessment services to quickly and efficiently resolve any ongoing issues. We offer the following options according to your budget and requirements:
It is the Law
Not only will our assessments be highly beneficial to your employees, but it is in fact a requirement by the HSE DSE 1992 Act to provide a workstation assessment if you have more than 5 employees. We specialise in providing assessments which meet and exceed these requirements by providing advice that takes each individual’s own requirements into account, thereby giving highly effective solutions and knowledge that enables them to look after their wellbeing for the long-term, not just a short term tick box, one solution fits all approach!
What will the Assessments Include?
Our assessments include unique bespoke diagnostic tools to quickly find and address any risk factors, including specific back, neck or shoulder or wrist issues, from general postural pain to chronic conditions such as arthritis, RSI, sciatica, scoliosis and fibromyalgia. The majority of our clients suffer from on-going pains such as neck, shoulder or lower back ache, which we can quickly address and correct before it becomes chronic and extended leave is required. We also see many prolapsed or bulging disc issues, exacerbated by bad posture.
We only use qualified and highly experienced ergonomists who are highly skilled in quickly getting to the root cause and providing effective solutions to resolve and reduce on-going back issues. Using our deep understanding of good posture, biomechanics, anthropometrics and psychology, we can educate you in quick and easily maintainable long-term preventative strategies which are so key in a full recovery. We go far beyond any tick box exercise.
Conducted at the individual’s workstation or in a private interview room, each assessment provides:
Why are assessments so important?
Back pain is multi-causal in its nature, with posture, stress, nutrition and exercise all having an impact on the person’s overall well-being and therefore level of risk of back pain. We check you are doing everything you can to maximise your recovery and educate you as to why that slouch puts pressure on your spine. Knowing the subtle physical and psychological causes that increase your chances of slouching is essential.
So we not only provide ergonomic expertise but will also signpost on to other recommended steps to a speedy recovery. It is our passion to get you better and we are constantly updating our knowledge to stop the cycle of pain for good.
It is far more cost-effective to be proactive than reactive, so we help you to do both, addressing any on-going issues and then helping you to put measures in place to reduce these in the future. It is essential to stop that niggle early in order to prevent it becoming a full-blown pain issue resulting in days, weeks or even months off work.
