Diamond Group, Team Valley based solutions provider, is finalising preparations for its annual corporate golf day, to raise money for Age UK Northumberland.

Taking place at Wearside Golf Club on Friday 17th August, the golf day ‘tees off’ with bacon sandwiches and informal networking, before heading out on the course.

On returning to the club house, players will be treated to a tasty two course lunch and refreshments, followed by prizes which will be awarded for a number of achievements including best team score, best individual score, longest drive and nearest the pin.

A number of local businesses have generously donated prizes for a raffle, including dinner, bed and breakfast at Holiday Inn, meal for two with wine at Aspers Casino, a bottle of Moet & Chandon, and beauty treatment vouchers. The lucky winners will be drawn by an Age UK Northumberland representative.

John Burns, managing director of Diamond Group, said: “It’s great to continue supporting this charity. We look after their IT needs, we hosted a lunch for their service users, and now we are raising funds to help them continue the vital work they do".

“I’m looking forward to welcoming clients, colleagues and friends to the Diamond Group golf day. It’s great fun and who doesn’t love a spot of competition, too?”

John and his team will welcome around 60 players on the day and hope to raise something in the region £1200 for the charity.
